I want to tell you about a library I visited in Korea.

My husband and I were on a fly-over and decided to tour the city. Songdo is a beautiful city, but empty from people. Only later we found out that it is a new (2009) “smart city” that was built on 1,500 acres of reclaimed sea land along the Incheon’s waterfront.

We ended at the public library (1,700 square meters on 2 levels, built in 2011) where no one could speak English with us.

We were very impressed with the design and we especially loved the fact that the people coming into to library left their shoes at the entrance.
