Góra Mediów, Poland; A Library Mountain of Media

Góra Mediów – The Mountain of Media – in Poland is a modern library offering a pinata of literature, music, movies, computer games and other multimedia on modern media carriers.

The library is an integral part of the Provincial and Municipal Public Library. C. Norwida in Zielona Góra, Poland and is located in the main building of the institution and has been operating since the end of 2010.

The Mountain of Media consists of several zones; The movie zone offers documentaries, animations, history, horror, etc. The movies are available on DVD and Blu-Ray. The music zone is all music categories recorded on CDs and vinyls. The book zone encourages you to search for audiobooks and e-books and to familiarize yourself with radio podcasts. In the library is also a comic book reading room where we can find a large collection of manga in a paper version.

Of course, the media library also offers access to computer stations, and in the gaming zone, access to PC games and PS3, PS4 and PS4 VR consoles.

Each user can also bring his notebook, tablet, etc. to use the free Wi-Fi.

As part of the collection, The Mountain of Media also has a number of educational programs, databases, dictionaries, lexicons and programs for audio-video processing.

A separate project is Café Language, a room for people who want to organize their cultural event. For this purpose, the media library offers technical facilities (film screenings, game tournaments, press conferences) every day as a place for conversations and language classes.

From 2018, programming classes are conducted on the basis of the Photon robots.

It’s also a place of many openings and exhibitions and is an important place on the cultural map of the city.
